Hi Greg and Junko,
I live in South Florida. I Teach the Steel-drum, arrange and do lots of performances all over America and Europe. I am known in the musical world as Zack. Checking your website which I like the presentation very much, gave me the idea of performing in Hawaii. If you don't mind talking to me about that possibility then you can call me at 407-221-5355 if you don't call, I would not put any meaning to it. Thank you. Just reaching out.
My spirit for some reason chose you.
Regards: Zack!!!

29 December 2005

Greetings Greg & Junko from cold Toronto, Canada,

It was accidental when my wife (Lunesa) and I happened to watch your free performance at the International Marketplace,Food Court Stage in Waikiki on Tuesday, Dec 6, 2005. We were there to see what we could buy from the food court to eat at the comfort of our hotel that evening, having just arrived from a long flight from Toronto to Honolulu via L.A. that day. When we arrived at the food court, we forgot why we were there and that we were starving. The first selection we heard, Santa Lucia (taken from your Sweet Dreaming CD) kind of hypnotized us. For one thing, the selections in this CD is my kind of music. While music does not love me (I'm out of tune but could read notes of any musical composition), I love music from the start. Music relaxes me and makes feel young. Hearing steel drum music always fascinates us. While we have traveled to almost all the Caribbean countries to date, all what we could hear over there, however, are few selections from your Banana Boat Rider CD. Until we accidentally watched your show at the International Marketplace, never had we heard my favorite semi-classical selections being played on steel drums. It never sounded this good on this musical instrument, and on all the places, in Hawaii! We stayed the whole two hours of your performance. We just loved your interpretation playing all the sample selections taken from your CDs that evening. You two are not only professional musicians but very versatile. Because of my love for music and your performance, I got my wife's `approval' to buy all your 7 CDs that evening! This was our second visit to Hawaii after 20 years when we toured only Oahu in 1985 with our two young sons then. This time around (Dec 6-20, 2005, with Your Man Tours), after spending 5 nights in Waikiki, we also visited Kauai (4 nights), Maui (2 nights), Hilo (1 night) and Kona (3 nights). As optional tours, our group watched so many dinner shows on all these islands. Without pulling your legs, we were never as entertained as with your free performance at the International Marketplace on Dec 6th. When we returned to Toronto on Dec 20, while still feeling exhausted and suffering from jet lag, I started playing your CDs on my old CD/stereo system in our Recroom where I do most of my computer and paperworks (although been an early retiree since 1994). Modesty aside, almost all the selections on your 7 CDs, I already have them from various recordings I've accumulated through the years. However, your music is so unique and beautiful that it will now be part of my life from hereon. While we've got all your CDs to date, what we would miss, though, is Junko's beautiful expression while playing the two lower register pans. Unless we watch you play on TV or visit Waikiki again, we would just imagine the beautiful body movements of Junko while listening to your CDs.

Merci beaucoup,

Romeo & Lunesa Fernandez
